How is Content scored in the Writing Section

Grading content is essentially based on your level of comprehension. It is crucial to understand the question being posed before getting down to answering it. Do not rush through the question. Spend a few minutes understanding the question before attempting to answer it. You will have enough time to type out your answer. Even if you run short of time, you will get a better grade because typing half an appropriate answer is better than typing a whole irrelevant answer. It is important to keep in mind that answers which do not address the question will be rated 0. As mentioned in earlier posts, the PTE is designed to assess a student’s understanding of the language through advanced methods. The following depicts the grading scale for this question:

3 points: You will receive this score if your answer fully deals with the question on your PTE Academic India exam.

1 point: Your answer misses out crucial explanation required to make the answer whole.

0 points: The essay is in no relation to the asked question.
