Listening Section of the PTE: Select Missing Word  

Ever met a person who finishes your sentences for you? Are you one of those people who finishes people’s sentences for them? Then this PTE task is your forte! You will be required to listen to a recording with a missing word or phrase. This missing information is generally placed at the end of the recording. It is your task to pick the right response option, one that will make complete sense of the PTE Academic recording.

After listening to the recording, look through the PTE response options. You will be presented with a minimum of 3 responses and a maximum of 5 responses. After narrowing down your options and picking what you think is right, use the mouse to left click on it. This response will be highlighted in yellow. Before you click the ‘Next’ button, if you think your answer is incorrect, left click on the option again. This will unselect the response. You can now click on the right PTE Academic option and hence click ‘Next’.
