Students prefer PTE to IELTS

PTE’s quick rise to the top has taken the English testing realm by surprise. Students from around the globe are opting for this PTE test of English knowing that the testing system is more extensive and corrections are more lenient. This system of testing gives a psychological edge to the student. When a student knows the method of testing is more extensive, he/she is inclined to study vigorously. This will improve their English knowledge, not only to do well in the test but also to master the language of instruction at their future university. The intensity of the test is totally balanced by the leniency of correction. This, more often than not, ensures that a student receives the required score, and hence satisfies the need for taking this exam. Apart from this psychological advantage, PTE Academic is preferred to IELTS for the following reasons:

It is a machine based test: PTE boasts of staying with the times. It is the age of the computer, and this test of English has fully embraced its utility. Not only will you be tested by a machine, but you will also be graded by it. All 4 sections of your test, i.e. reading, writing, listening and speaking, will be conducted and examined by a machine. Students find this to be extremely beneficial, apropos the speaking section. It is always easier to speak to a nonjudgmental computer than a real person. Grading is also carried out by a machine. This assures the student of a nonbiased scoring system.
The absence of lengthy passages in the reading section: PTE Academic India is to the point. You will not be required to read long passages before answering questions, as in IELTS. Reading such lengthy passages tests your memory along with your reading comprehension. PTE only tests your understanding of the English language through modernized methods.
There are no ambiguous questions in the Pearson’s Test of English: PTE Academic exclusively tests the language literacy of a student. There are no trick questions. However, IELTS papers often contain ambiguous questions. Phrases such as “amount packaging of goods” can be interpreted in many ways. It can be wondered whether the examiner is asking the question apropos price, quantity or weight. This can be extremely misleading to a student.

Doesn’t the Pearson’s Test of English seem like the way forward? You can also visit your nearest AECC Global office to buy PTE vouchers at the same discounted price, Rs.9,810.
