Professional Year in Engineering for Graduates

The government has started Professional Year in Engineering program to impart training and supply skilled engineers to the domestic market. The aim of this program is to increase employment of migrants as local graduates aren’t enough for the growing industry. It is a 44-week program consisting of formal learning (32-week) and internship training (12-week) with a local company. The program is legislated by the Australian government and designed by Engineering Education of Australia (EEA) to prepares migrant graduates for the job market.
Eligibility
- Possess a recognised engineering degree (2 years minimum)
- Have temporary graduate visa (485 subclass)
- High English proficiency skills i.e. IELTS 6 or equivalent band
